
Ms. Fiona Flintan, the Senior Scientist of Rangelands Governance at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), visited Tanzania aimed at making follow-up for Participatory Rangeland Management and Joint Land Use Projects.
AREAS VISITED
- CHALINZE DISTRICT COUNCIL- PWANI REGION
Ms Fiona together with KINNAPA and TNRF Staff met with the DED of Chalinze District to discuss on pushing the process of issuing the Certificates of Customary Rights of Occupancy (CCROs) to KIMANGE Cluster and also to discuss on accomplishing the MAKAO MAKUU Cluster of Chalinze District.


2. DODOMA REGION
In Dodoma Region, She met with the General Director for National Land Use Commission, Organized the National Stakeholders Meeting to be held on November 2023 and also discussed development of Memorandum of Understanding between NLUC and ILRI on issues related to Land use Plans.
Also in the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries ,She discussed the engagement of the Ministry in Participatory Rangeland Management Project(PRM), Discussed the improvement of National guideline for development and improvement of Rangeland.
In the Ministry of Lands and Housing ,get experience from Land Tenure Improvement Project (LTIP) and see where ILRI can complete to support the Joint Land Use Plans and secure Grazing Lands.




3. KITETO DISTRICT COUNCIL- MANYARA REGION
She met with DED, remind the issuing of CCRO to ALOLLE, KIMBO and NAPALAI Clusters and also met with DC and discussed the same issue, and then they went for site visit where the Bush Thinning is to be carried out.
