On 18th, May 2023 KINNAPA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME participated in Manyara Region CSO’s meeting, that was held in Babati town at the office of Manyara Regional Commissioner. The meeting aimed at bringing together CSOs working and implementing various projects/programs in the region to reflect, and discuss their collaboration and communication with the office of NGOs registrar (Regional and District level). It also provided room for the participants to propose solutions and way out for sustainability of the forum and collaborations among CSOs working in the region.
The meeting was officially opened by Hon. Makongoro Nyerere (Manyara Regional Commissioner), and followed by presentations from NGOs Registrar (Manyara Region), Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), LATRA and NAKONGO (Manyara region). The presentations highlighted various concerns including challenges associated with poor communication between the office of NGOs Registrar and the CSOs, Taxing and tax exemptions criteria to CSOs.
